The New London County Bar Association is pleased to announce a scholarship to be awarded to two students within New London County who intend on pursuing a career in the law. The recipients of the awards will each receive a one-time scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00. All applicants must be a senior in a high school located within New London County, with an expectation to graduate on time and an expectation of attending a college, university or other qualifying institution the following school year. The award recipients will be required to show proof of acceptance to a qualifying college or university prior to receiving the award. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale), must be accepted to a qualifying college and/or university and must demonstrate a commitment to public service and community involvement.
The deadline by which to submit applications will be April 15, 2019. The recipients will be notified by the beginning of May and will be invited to attend the New London County Bar Association annual event to be held on May 17, 2019.
